Kenfig Hill 2nds took a strong squad to the Dairy Field in Llanharan for a Mid Glamorgan league fixture. Llanharan were forced into uncontested scrums due to a shortage of front row players although were still able to field a strong side. Kenfig Hill struggled to obtain quality possession for the first 10minutes however, they soon began to exert themselves in the forwards and strong defensive work from the backs.Jacob David was the first to take advantage as he ran through to score under the posts after Kenfig Hill put pressure on the Llanharan forwards. Tries from Dale Smith and Rhys Ansen all followed before half time as Kenfig Hill looked to secure a bonus point. The pick of the tries from Dale Smith after flanker Dan Shadis managed to flick a pass inside near the corner flag. Llanharan came back strongly at the start of the second half and managed to force their way over after a series of scrums near the line. However, Kenfig Hill were now in full control of possession and took advantage to run in a further 3 tries. Again the pick of the tries was from Dale Smith as he kicked forward and took advantage of a favourable bounce to collect the ball in full stride to go over under the posts. Further tries from Nicky Giles and Alan Brace followed with full back Harrison Evans finishing with 3 conversions.
